ABOUT PERIGI ACHEH VILLAGE

• Located in Johor state.
• District of Johor Bahru.
• Habitation  of Sungai Tiram.
• Area of the village is 300 acre.
• In the northern part of the village is industry Tanjung Langsat.
• In the southern part of the village is Singapore.
• In the eastern part of the village is Sungai Kuala Johor.
• In the western part of the village is Sungai Kim Kim.
• The population is around 528 - 274 man, 254 woman.
• The amount of family is around 101 family.
• The main employment is fisherman 40%, manufacturing 40%, self-employed 15% and private 5%.
• The main revenue is from sea revenue.
• The industry of the village is tourism.

HISTORY OF PERIGI ACHEH VILLAGE

Acheh wells that still contain of water.

A few years ago, an army from Acheh, Indonesia has come to attack Johor Lama. On their journey, the army has run out of water and they stopped to get water. due to the village they stop run out of water, Panglima ordered the army to dig a well. While resting on a mangrove tree, suddenly the fruit fell on Panglima chest and directly penetrate on his heart. The Panglima is dead because of that incident. His body was buried in the village. in conjunction, from that incident the village called as Kampung Perigi Acheh or Well Acheh Village.

• Perigi Acheh Wells

The wells of Perigi Acheh is a historical legacy that is found in Perigi Acheh village 

forest. There are seven wells in the village and still contain of water.

FACILITIES AT PERIGI ACHEH VILLAGE

• Mosque

The village only has one mosque and do not have any prayer room.

• Primary school

Sekolah Kebangsaan Perigi Acheh is the only one school  that available at Perigi Acheh Village.

• Kindergarten

The kindergarten is located on the left side of primary school.

• Hall

The hall is located near from the Mosque to easier the villager to make an event.

• Road

The road that available along the village is only small road.

ACTIVITIES AT PERIGI ACHEH VILLAGE

There are a lot of activities in Perigi Acheh. For example:

• Yasin recital at the mosque every Friday night,

• Cooperation to clean up the village,
• Establishment of  "Zapin" dance and "Marhaban" group,
• Setting up a platoon of volunteers bond, and
• Angling.
